No Confidence Vote by Timaru Watersiders in National Officers

P.A. TIMARU, May 20. A unanimous motion of noconfidence in the national officers and the Executive of the Watersider Workers’ Union, was passed at a stop-work meeting of the Timaru Branch of the Union this morning. The Branch, further, disassociated itself from any action likely to endanger the Government, and it disagreed with the statement of the National President, Mr H. Barnes, that the whole organisation was 100 per cent, behind the action taken by the National Executive. The meeting was held to hear the report of the recent ' meeting between the National Executive and the Cabinet.
