Wanganella Job Not Going As Employers Wish

WELLINGTON, May 20. Whether the Wanganella special claims tribunal will resume tomorrow as tentatively arranged depemds on the tradesmen’s response to the undertaking between the unions and the employers that the renewed hearings wete conditions on a general return to work, and, in tiie present circumstances. it is unlikely that the s employers will be prepared to resume the discussions tomorrow.

It is understood that the employers expect about. 75 per cent of the 210 men who resigned from Cables engineering works to return to their duties as part of last week’s agreement governing the resumption of the tribunal, but by this morning only 74 men had reurned, an increase of five on last night’s figures.
