University Scandal Over Sex Matters Alleged in Australia
ADELAIDE, April 15. Following-a speech in Otago, New Zealand, advocating freer sex life at the'universities, a student paper here, “On Dit,” conducted a poll among two thousand students at the Adelaide University. The paper apologises for not being able to publish any details of the result of the poll, which it alleges, proved that “for some there has been a certain turbulent undercurrent of immorality at the university.” The students voted three to one in favour of freer sex life. “It is futile to say that everything is as it should be in the Australian universities,” says the paper. “With our university dead and devoid of energetic student activity, too many find an outlet for their surplus energy in anti-social malpractices.”
