BOLIVIAN RISING DUE TO COMMUNISTS, SAYS PRESIDENT
(Rec. 9.50). ASUNCION, March 23. The President of Bolivia, Senor Moringo, denounced “International Communism” as one of the main forces behind the revolt of the Concepcion garrison of the Bolivian Army. He said that the revolt was important evidence of how Communist propaganda and political activities could undermine an army structure, and could provoke a revolutionary crisis. Reports reaching Buenos Aires state that the Bolivian rebels won a battle on the outskirts of San Pedro, after which there were many desertions oi Government troops to the rebels'.
