Opera House Finally To-night; “Three Little Sisters,” and “Gangs of the Waterfront.” Commencing to-morrow "Smoky,” (In technicolour). Rarely, if ever, has any movie audience been treated to so spectacularly beautiful a production as 20th. Century Fox’s magnificent filming of Will James’ beloved classic ‘''Smoky,” starring Fred McMurray (as a rugged and danger-loving cow-puncher), with, Anne Baxter (as a hard riding owner of the ranch on which McMurray keeps a rendezvous with fate), and introducing ballad singer Burt Ives (famous troubadcr) it is at once a great and heart warming motion picture experience in the tradition <>f the memorable “Flicka” screen triumph. ‘‘Smoky” is a grand story of the West, of to-day with the rousing spirit of the West of yesteryear. It is the story of one; man’s love of danger, and of one woman’s love of a man, and of the events that patterned their livls into a great and thrilling adventure. In the thrilling tale it tells and in the breathtaking splendour of its production, it achieves a sweep and beauty that makes for all-surpassing romance and excitement.
