[Our Own Correspondent!. Mr Gaffaney, agent for the Refrigerating Company, Christchurch, was a recent visitor to Wataroa. The two principle events at the Harihari Racing Club’s meeting were won by horses from the Bruce Bay and Manacow districts, Several horses from Wataroa also took part, but found the pace too much for them. There were many visitors present, some of whom included Mr and Mrs J. McKay, Mr and Mrs T. Wallace, J. Heveldt (Ross), Mr and Mrs D. Graham, Mrs E. Diedrichs and son, Mr and Mrs Rowley, Mr and Mrs A. Robinson, and Miss J. Condon. The broadcasting of the events as well as music was* handled by Mr R. Searle.
