The following Ces Walker Cup matches were approved at the monthly meeting of the Buller Lawn Tennis Association held on Saturday last:— March 1 or 2, 1947: Hector v. Millerton at Hecto?; St. Johns a bye. March 9, 1947: St. Johns v. Hector at Westport; Millerton a bye.

MILLERTON, Feb. 20
The Millertcn bowlers travelled to Ngakawau on Sunday to. play the Ngakawau bowlers in the competition fixture.
Mr W. Watson, National Councillor on the Federation of Labour left to attend a conference in Wellington. Mr A. McKenna has returned from a holiday at Christchurch. The Millerton Medical Association held their annual meeting in the Rechabite Hall recently. Mi’ J. Osman presided. The balance sheet was read by the secretary and received as satisfactory. An officers’ salaries statement was then received, and an extra allowance granted. Further extra allowances were then granted to members for travelling expenses. The election of officers for the incoming year was held. Mr J. Osman was reelected president; Mr J. Blyth Secretary; Mr. D. McMillan treasurer. Trustees re-elected were: Mr VZ. Milligan, Mr T. Grace and W. Watson., Committee: Messrs C. Osman, T. Jackson and M. Milligan.
