GREYMOUTH CHALLENGE The Greymouth Swimming Club has challenged the Reefton Club for the John Burns Cup, which the latter won and successfully defended last season. Teams from the two clubs will meet’ next Tuesday evening. The Grey Club held a meeting at the municipal baths on Wednesday evening, the events resulting as follows':— 100 yards Freestyle Handicap.-—L. Wotton (20)' 1; R. Parmenter (14) 2; B. Priestly (6) 3. Time—B4sec. 100 yards Breaststroke Handicap.— D. Sheldon (scr) 1; J. McNul’ty (2) 2; C. Ackland (10) 3. Time—B7 4-5 seconds. Women’s 100 yards Freestyle.— Miss M. O’Leary (9) 1; Miss A. Zampese (scr) 2. Time —lOlsec. Won by a touch. Women’s 33 1-3 yds Breaststroke. — Miss A. Zampese 1; Miss M. O’Leary 2. DOMINION CHAMPIONSHIPS NELSON, Feb. 20. The national swimming championships were continued to-day in perfect weather. Results: — 220 yards Men’s Freestyle.—First heat: C. Sell (Otago) 1; B. Clinch (Auckland 2; T. Logan (Taranaki) 3. Time—2min 37sec. Sell was the only one to qualify for the final. Second heat: L. Barry (Nelson) 1; R. Ilatchwell (Canterbury) 2; W. J. Jarvis (Otago) 3 Time—2min 30 4-5 seconds. •
