NEW CRISIS

Indian Congress WANTS MOSLEMS OUT OF CABINET. ’London, Feb. 19. Mr Attlee is expected to make an important statement in the Commons this week following recent Indian Congress representations to the Viceroy that the Moslem Leagues continuance in the Indian Cabinet is incompatible with their refusal o participate in the constituent assembly. The Times diplomatic correspondent says: The Moslem League’s refusal has precipitated a new crisis, which has been fully discussed by the British Cabinet as a mattei ot urgency, and certain conclusions have been reached. The correspondent adds: The latest developments have emphasised afresh great difficulties that are confronting the Viceroy in Delhi, and there speculation as to whether his own position may not be involved. There are suggestions that another Cabinet envoy should be sent to India for a further attempt at mediation between the Congress and the Moslems, but any such intervention is considered unlikely.
