GENERAL ELECTION
MR. FRASER’S RECEPTION Employers’ Complaint P.A. WELLINGTON, Nov. 20. The secretary of the Wellington Employers’ Association. Mr W. J. •Mountjoy, to-day commented on a request to workers to attend a reception to the Prime Minister. He said: “It is most disturbing to industry to know that a working day has been chosen for such a demonstration, particularly as the greater number of workers have been granted a free day every Saturday. As the Government, by recent legislation, has granted factory and shop workers, and workers in business establishments a halfday, from two p.m. on election day, it would appear that the publicising of the Prime Minister seems more important to these people than the wellbeing of the Dominion”.
