DOMINION NEWS

-———-oPLOUGHMAN FOUND DEAD WHANGAREI, Nov. 18. A young farmer, of Kauri, was found dead on Saturday evening. He was Arthur Hugh Trigg, agged 29. When Mrs Trigg and a neighbour returned from Whangarei they found that the cows had not been milked. Trigg’s horses were standing where he had been ploughing and Trigg was found lying face downwards in a furrow. Life was extinct. It is believed that Trigg fell in an unconscious condition and was asphyxiated in the furrow. At the inquest a neigbour said that Trigg had been ploughing in rough country and it was possible that the plough had struck a tree stump, the plough handle striking him in the stomach. The inquest was adjourned, pending a post-mortem. A returned serviceman,. Trigg was a brothei’ of the late Flying Officer L. A. Trigg, V.C., D.F.C., R.N.Z.A.F.
