•P.A. CHRISTCHURCH, Sept. 12. Earl McCready 17st 11b and Lofty Blomfield wrestled to a draw in a bout, for the Empire championship. In the first round Blomfield secured a fall with an octopus clamp. McCready equalised in the seventh round with a rocking chair splits. AUCKLAND, Sept. 12. Herb Meller (U.S.A.) 17st defeated George Pencheff (Australia) 16st 21b in a professional wrestling contest at Hamilton. Meller secured a submission fall from a barred toe-hold in the seventh round.
