BICYCLE TYRES
RESTRICTIONS LIFTED P.A. WELLINGTON, September 12. The revocation of two further factory control notices was announced by the Minister of Supply (Hon. D. G. Sullivan) to-night. They are the Bicycle Tyre and Tube Control Notice, 1942, and the Rubber Control Notice, 1942. Mr Sullivan said the revocation of the former meant that, from now on, the public may purchase, without permits, cycle tyres and tubes, while revocation of the latter means restrictions upon use of raw 1 rubber has been removed. An improving supply position meant that continuance of these controls was no longer justified, said the Minister.
