COACH FOR HUTT VALLEY WELLINGTON, August 26. The Hutt Valley Cricket Association has signed on K. C. James as its coach during the forthcoming summer with the right of renewal during the subsequent four seasons. James will be a full-time coach and much of his time will be occupied in a modern indoor cricket school to be opened next week. ENGLISH MATCHES LONDON, August 23. The Warwickshire bowler, E. Hollies, created a county cricket record by so far taking 158 wickets in the season. Edrich dismissed the first five Worcester batsmen in five overs for nine runs. D. Brookes scored two centuries for Northamptonshire in a match against Sussex. Scores were:— Gloucestershire v. Yorkshire. — Gloucestershire, first innings, 106; second innings, 89 (Robinson six for 28). Yorkshire, first innings, 188; second innings, one for 8. Yorkshire won by nine wickets; Northants v. Sussex.—Northamptonshire, first innings, 186 (Brookes 112); second innings, seven for 263 declared (Brookes not out 154). Sussex, first innings, 121 (Clarke four for 45); second innings, two wickets for 172. The match was drawn. Glamorgan v.
