Relaxation of Law (Rec. 6.30) ATHENS, Aug. 26. Athens radio has announced that the Ministry of Justice has ordered the immediate suspension of the Emergency Measures Act, passed by the Tsaldaris Government in an effort to suppress terrorism by outlaws. Left Wingers stormily protested against the Act, which empowered military 1 courts in, northern districts to pass death sentences, executable in less than three days. . - : (Rec. 7.40). NEW YORK, Aug. 26. The New York Times learns authoritatively that the Greek Prime Minister, M. Tsaldaris, proposes to fly to New York to present personally to the Security Council, Greece’s reply to the Ukrainian charges, the hearing of which is likely to be held on August 28 or 29. ATHENS, August 22. A political reporter of the Right Wing newspaper Phos, George Sidiropoulos, was seized and killed by a Communist band near the Jugoslav border, says the Greek Press Ministry. Sidiropoulos’s’ eyes were gouged out before his death. It is reported that a Communist newspaper reported was kidnapped by a Right Wing band and has not been heard of since.
