BASKETBALL

WEEK-END REP MATCHES 1

No club matches were played on Saturday morning but in the afternoon three representative games were contested. Grey senior A representatives won a practice game against G.T.H.S. A but the cola weather prevented good play. 'Hie score, 25-18, indicates fast but unspectacular play. At 2.15, Reefton met the second grade reps and were defeated by 14 points to 11 after a good game. Nelson fielded a clever side to play Coast B who lost to them 19-14, in a good, fast game. Coast forward were out of position, frequently giving the strong Nelson defence excellent opportunities to feed their quick passing and accurate centres.
