ALGERIAN EARTHQUAKE PARIS, Feb. 14 The latest report from Algiers says* that at least 300 were killed as the result of the earthquake in Constantine alone. Communications have been cut and no precise details of the loss of life and the havoc are available. Most roads leading to the town were blocked by landslides. Seismograph instruments in Paris indicate that the disturbance in Algeria began at 2.16 a.m. on Tuesday and lasted an hour. The shock centre was Barika, 150 miles south-east of Algiers. It was felt throughout North Africa and also recorded al Florence.

The French Minister of Hie Interior, Al. Ivoquer, has left for the scene of the disaster.
