WATAROA NOTES

(Our Own Correspondent). Mr. Fleming of Kokatahi was a visitor to Wataroa and South Westland during the week. Mrs O’Connor and her daughter, Greymouth, are spending a holiday with relatives at Wataroa. Miss Cornish of Ross was a visitor to Wataroa last week-end. Mr. Charles Neam and Mr. Jamieson visited Wataroa recently. F/O. Pat Nolan arrived at his home in Wataroa last Tuesday after service overseas. Mr Pausie, resident police officer at Wataroa, is expected to return from leave on February 7, when Mr. Wallace of Hokitika, Who has been relieving him, will leave on return. The winners of the Monte Carlo at the welcome home dance last Saturday were Miss Minehan of Ross and Mr. W. Minehan of Harihari.
