Bar Conditions Improve

SHIPS TO LEAVE. WFSTPORT, January 28. Soundings taken on the Buller River bar yesterday morning indicated that if- the swell abates vessels would be able to leave port, last night or this morning. The Totara, Karu and Wingatui were up for night sailing, and the Kaimai for the morning tide. The Kaimiro is due from Auckland today, and will complete loading at Greymouth. The Wingatui is due on Thursday from Wellington, to load for that port, and the Karu is due on Sunday, February 3, to load for Wellington.
