GRANITY CONVENT SUCCESSES In the pianoforte theory examinations which was held on November 21, last, the pupils of the Granity Convent of Mercy were all very successful, results being as follows: — PREPARATORY DIVISION Margaret CunliL'fe, 90 marks, (honours). Dorothy Irene Evans, 90 marks, (honours). Margaret Johnston, 100 marks (honours). JUNIOR DIVISION Agnes Ann Johnston, 96 marks, (honours). COAL MINES' COUNCIL Mr. John Dowgray, Chairman of the Coal Mines’ Council, Westport yesterday to attend a meeting of the Council to be held in Greymouth. He will return next week.
