(Our Own Correspondent). WESTPORT, October 5. The Titoki arrived this morning from Tarakohe and is loadl J? g f., She was not expected until from Wellington but the alteration was brought about by hei not going to Wellington from Tai akohe. The Karepo is expected to complete loading to-night and sail for Auckland. The Kiwitea, scheduled to load here to-day for Auckland, has been directed to Greymouth. The Bata from Wanganui, is due on Sunday to’ load for Nelson. The is.aimiro arrived to-day from Auckland and is loading for that port. , Messrs W. A. Craddock and W. Williams left to-day for Christchurch. , . , T . Mr. and Mrs. S. Austin of Nelson, are at present on a camping holiday at Westport. Mr. E. Mulqueen returned yesterday from Christchurch. Mr. H. Armstrong has returned to Ngakawau from Christchurch. Mrs. R. Hansby has returned from the North Island. . Mr. H. Bowes arrived xrom Christchurch last evening on relieving duty at the Westport branch of the Commercial Bank. Sister E. Sands, who has been overseas with the 2nd. N.Z.E.F., is visiting relatives at Westport. Acting W.O. II W. Ryan, who returned from overseas service recently, is visiting his father, Mr. W. Ryan, Rintoul Street. The death occurred at Palmerston North yesterday of Mr. William (Barlow) Ryan, a member of the wellknown Buller family of that name. Prior to going to the North Island, the late “Barlow” Ryan was employed at Burnett’s Face and at Karamea and with his brother, Jack and,Patrick, who predeceased him, he was a prominent member of the White Star Football Club._ He is survived by one brother, Walter, of Petone, and two sisters, Mrs. A. Croudis of Greymouth and Miss K. Ryan, of Auckland.
