N.Z.-MADE TYRES

APPEAL AGAINST DECISION CHRISTCHURCH, Aug. 24. An appeal against the decision of the 'Bureau of Industry .granting licences to three overseas tyre and rubber companies for manufacture in New Zealand of motor tyres, is to be made by G. W. Skellerup, representing the Latex, Marathon, Empire and Para Rubber Companies. This was announced to-day by Mn Skellerup, who said he had no comment to make for the time being about the Bureau’s decision. JOINT LICENSE GRANTED. P.A. WELLINGTON, August 24. Mr G. P. Kelly, manager of E. W. Pidgeon, Company, Limited and Goodrich Rubber Company, advises that the licence granted to Reid (N.Z.) Ltd. for the manufacture of motor tyres in New Zealand is a joint licence in association with Goodrich Rubber Company and E. W. Pidgeon Comp any.
