A NEW FABRIC IN U.S.A. (Rec. 9.50). NEW YORK, August 24. The “Herald Tribune” stated: A new fabric has been developed. It is made principally from chicken feathers. It is reported to be warmer, softer and lighter than wool. The fabric looks like wool. It is designed for use mainly in suits, dresses, and sweaters. It can be dyed any colour. It possesses more sheen than wool. It is completely odourless. It can be laundered with no more shrinkage than cotton. The cost of the new fabric is cheaper than wool. It is more expensive than cotton.
