He asked the Government if steps could be taken to have this cloth branded “Made in Australia”. .- Ron J. Beasley,, replying on.behalf of the Minister of S’upply and Shipping, said that double weft Australian cloth was being sold in New Zealand This material. was sent there to capture New Zealand trade, he added. Commission has arranged to market overseas all types , of surplus war stores not needed in Australia, particularly those likely to interfere with Australian production in . the rehabilitation of ex-servicemen and women/ The Commission has urged that business houses with export connections should assist in the sale of items, particularly Jn countries such as India, New Zealand, Africa,:• the Parifil Islands, and the Middle East. These goods include woven material and garments. •
