WAIUTA NOTES
[Our Own Correspondent] Miss E. Morrisse.y of Greymouth is relieving at the local post, office. Mr Syd Ward was a week-end visitor to Greymouth. Mi-, and Mrs. W. Harris have received word that their son, Pilot Ollicer Eric Harris, who is serving in the Bomber Command in the British Isles has been promoted to the rank of Flight Lieutenant. Leaving New Zealand only a little over twelve months ago Flight Lieutenant Harris has been rapidly promoted and has just recently finished a tour of operations. Mr. and Mrs.'G. Ward and Mrs. F. Rose leave on Saturday on a visit to Nelson. Messrs E. T. S'wetnam, J. Swetnam, J'. Russell and A. Kelly, of Greymouth visited the township on Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Foster Goldsworthy have left on a holiday visit to Nelson. Mi-. J. Nailer is on a holiday visit to Christchurch. Mr. and Mrs. W. Stansbury of Nelson who have been visiting' Mr. and Mrs. G. Ward have returned. Mr. Leo Kelly Grevmouth visited the township during the week-end. Mr. H. Scott who has been visiting Christchurch has returned.
