RETURN FOR NOVEMBER Total collections at the Greymouth Customs Office last month were £827 8s 7d more than for November last year. The figures were £30,942 17s 4d last, month and £30,114 8s 9d in November 1943. The most notable increase was of £977 15s 3d in the war expenses other item. There were also increases in the sales tax collections last month as comparea with November last year, but there was a decrease of £132 18s 7d in the customs item. Details of the principal items with the figures for November 1943 in parenthesis are as follows:—Customs £3.741 Os 2d (£3,873 18s 9d); Sales Tax £3,827 10s 4d (£3,515 3s 8d); War Expenses other £9,146 19s 5d (£8,169 4s 2d); war expenses sales tax £6,180 16s 9d (£6,005 13s 6d); total £30,942 17s 4d (£30,114 8s 9d).
