BIG ADVANCES
By Japanese IN SOUTH CHINA [Aust. & N.Z. Press Association] (Rec. 11.40) CHUNGKING, Nov 30 Japanese vanguards have made startling advances inside of Kweichow Province towards Kweiyang, which is the junction point of a highway network linking Chungking and Kunming and other southwest China cities. .. This was revealed when the Fourteenth U.S. Air Force in a communique, announced that its fighters had strafed Japanese cavalry troops on the Pachai-Tukiang Road 011 Tuesday indicating that the Japanese forces had cut through, or outflanked some of the Chinese units defending Kweiyang. Pachai is sixty-five miles south-eastwards or Kweiyang. *
