The> chairman congratulated the band on the year’s workings. They had had a heavier year than usual in paradbs which had been well attended and the financial position was very sound. The Social Committees had exercised their powers well financially, and had also renovated the hall. It was to be hoped that such a position would continue so that uniforms urgently needed, would come to .light at the end of the war. He also wished to thank Miss Perotti for her assistance during the year. Pipe-Major W. Boyle impressed on members that full attendances were required and that there was only one way to make a band and that was continual practice. He stated he would exercise his powers in that direction, and asked for full co-opera-tion' of members. The band received an invitation to the Hokitika Caledonian Society's Halloween on Wednesday week.
