WOOL PILING UP
N.Z. STORAGE DIFFICULTY. P.A. NEW PLYMOUTH, Oct 11. Difficulties in finding storage spac« for the new season’s ’wool clip have led to widespread inquiries for suitable premises in various parts of the Dominion. So acute is the position that it is understood that aerodrome and defence buildings are being inspected and considered as emergency storage places. The former freezing works at Kakariki, which has been used by, the Air Force as a bulk store, is being used to relieve congestion, at Wanganui, so that a fresh clip can be accommodated. Places mentioned as likely depots are the aerodrome at Ohakea and portion of a drill hail used as Army Area Headqua’rters at New Plymouth. The possible dispersal of 1944 wool to unusual locations is expected to lead to altered anprisal arrangements. Every effort is being made, it is understood, to meet the situation and avoid farmers holding the crop on their farms.
