BIG QUAKE

IN NORTH-EAST ASIA (Rec. 9.50) NEW YORK, Sept. 25 A very severe earthquake in the vicinity of the Kamchatka Peninsula, in the extreme north-east of Asia is reported by the Western College, Massachusetts, Observatory. Officials said the tremors began on Sunday morning at 8.24 o’clock. They lasted for about three and a half hours. The centre is placed at 5,355 miles from Boston.
