ST. JOHN’S FLOWER SHOW
GOOD DISPLAY OF SPRING D LOOMS. There were good entries in practically every class at the St. John s Soring Flower Show held yesterday, the total entries being greater than those received last year. As at the other spring shows, blooms were of a very high standard. The West Coast Horticultural Society’s blue r it>bon for the champion bloom in the daffodil section was won by Mr W. The judges were: Daffodils, Mr E. Yates; cut flowers, Mr E. Yates and Mr O. Jackson; decorative, Mrs Stanley White and Miss Broad. Mrs O. McLean was secretary of the Show for the tenth successive year, and Mrs W. E. J : . Steer was in charge of the flower section and Miss Clements of the decorative section. Stalls were conducted by the following: Delicatessen, Mesdames Daniels, Fairmaid, Roud, and Brebner; cakes, Mesdames H. Hooper and Thomas; work, Mesdames Gunn, Tucker, Campbell, Evenden, Fairhall, Sutherland, Feters, Dowdall, and Miss McDonald; tearooms, Mesdames Shannon, Chisholm, Orr, Anderson, and Miss Beynon.
