N.Z. AIRMEN DECORATED P.A. WELLINGTON, Sept. 19 The Governor General has announced that the King has approved of the D.F.C. to members of the R.N.Z.A.F., in recognition of gallantry and devotion to duty during operations against the enemy in the South Pacific area. The recipients are Squadron Leader Stanley Gilbert Quill, Invercargill, and Flying Officer Alexander Weber, of Auckland. Other awards are:— D.F.C. : Flight Lieutenant Peter Francis Locker Hall, Gisborne. Flying Officer Sidney Frederick Parldto. Foxton. Pilot Officer Raymond Benjamin Ede Ashburton. Pilot Officer Alfred Edgar Nicklin, Auckland. Bar to D.F.C.: Squadron Leader Derek Harold Hammond, Christchurch. C.G.M.: Flight Sergeant David John Moriarty, Wanganui.
