The Inanga'hua golf championships were played in adverse weather, ram falling incessently for two days. Results were as follows:—Men’s bogey match: D. Gallaher 40, N. Woods ana W. Agust equal 38; men’s senior championship: D. McVicar 157, C % Rhodes (Greymouth) 161 runner-up; Intermediate:—A. McKenzie 17U, Mitchell (Greymouth) 173 runnerup; Junior: —L. C. Lindley (Greymouth) 187, W. Blackie (Ikamatua) 190 runner-up. Mrs. Eklund won the ladies’ senior championship and all other ladies’ events played. On Saturday, Messrs A. McArthur, F. Connew and 1. Tyler addressed members of the Burke’s Creek Min-i ers’ Union and Inangahua Coal Miners’ Unions, dealing with the open cast mining at Stockton.
