(Rec. 12.50.) LONDON, August 18. For a snort period early on Thursday night the Germans sent fiymgboinbs over the southern counties, including London. More came over after dawn on Friday. 16-TON FLYING BOMBS! MEXICO CITY, Aug. 17. General Gustavo Salinas, Mexican Air Force Chief, who recently returned from a tour of the European war theatre, reported that Allied troops discovered a giant robot launching ramp on the Normandy Peninsula, designed for the use of sixteen-ton bombs, which would travel through the stratosphere across the Atlantic and descend on United States seaboard cities.
