WEDDING
O’CONNOR—MINEHAN.
St. Patrick’s Church, Ross, was the scene of a popular wedding .on Wednesday, June 21, when Tarcille Kathleen, eldest daughter of Mrs. and the late John Minehan of Ross, was united to Timothy Joseph, youngest son of Mr. William O’Connor of Hokitika' and the late Mrs. O’Connor, formerly of Rimu. The ceremony was performed by Rev. Father J Father P. A. Joyce (of Christchurch brated Nuptial Mass, assisted by Rev. Father P. A. Joyce, of Christchurch and formerly, of Ross). The altar was beautifully decorated in white and gold by members of the Altar Society, of which the bride was a very active member. The bride, who was escorted by her brother, Mr. Pat. Minehan, was charmingly attired in a model gown of magnolia satin with jpke of Richelieu lace and Feter Pan collar, buttoned to.the waistl’ne at the back, long-fitting sleeves buttoned to the elbow and pointed ever the hands. Her pannelled skirt was fitting and falling to the ground, the back panel forming a long train, also inset with Richelieu lace. Her veil of embroidered tulle fell from a cornet of beads and orange blossoms, and formed a second train. She carried a sheaf of white chrysanthemum, winter roses and maid-en-hair fern. Attending the bride were her two sisters, Molly and Kathleen, who wore frocked alike in gowns of buttercup taffeta with ruched bodices and elbow-length sleeves and long full gored skirts, shoulder length veils falling from top-nots, with woodpulp flowers to tone with their frocks, and carried sheafs of yellow chrysanthemums, abutilons and maiden-hair fern. The bridegroom was attended by his brother Mr. John O’Connor, and Mr. Joseph Smith (his cousin) .was groomsman. A luncheon was given at the home of the bride’s mother, where relatives of both families and friends of bride and groom were received by Mrs. Minehan, mother of the bride, attired in model frock of navy morocain with coat and hat to match, and wearing a shoulder spray of red anemones and maiden-hair fern. 'She was assisted by Miss T. O’Connor, sister of the bridegroom, attired in grev, relieved with blue, grey hat and fur coat, and shoulder sprav of gold chrysanthemums and maiden-hair fern. ' ' When Mr. and Mrs. O’Connor left by rail-car for Auckland, where the .honeymoon will be spent, the bride Iwas wearing a model' frock of blue Iguol ge.orge+te, with hat t 0 match, Mh grey camel-ha'” coat. 'T'he young were tlm recipients of many and useful presents includsubstantial cheques.
