ATTEMPTED MURDER CHARGE P.A. PALMERSTON N., Mav L The trial of Robert Alfred Hollis, aged 61, a farm manager, of Deep Dene Station, Pori, near Pahiatua, for the attemnted murder of Godfrey Neville Green, farm manager of Pori, on January 17, commenced In the Supreme Court. Hollis pleaded not guilty, and the day was taken up with evidence submitted by the prosecution alone the lines of the Lower Court hearing. The principal Witness was Green, who, it is alleged, was shot in an arm and the chest. DAMAGES AWARDED. P.A. WELLINGTON, May 1. A jury in the Supreme Court awarded Victor William Rowland, a secretary, £2,518 2s general damages against Noel Charles Neiman, a carrier. Porirua, £839 8s 6d special damages having been agreed on. Rowland said he was attending to a gas producer of a car on the roadside when he was struck by a motortruck driven bv Neiman. He claimed £3 000 special damages for permanent partial disablement. Liability was admitted
