Invercargill Licensing TRUST HOLDS FIRST MEETING

P.A. INVERCARGILL. May 1.. Temporary bars will be opened in Invercargill in July. The Invercargill Licensing Trust expects to open these bars for t'he sale of liquor on the first day of the month, and at an early date members of the Trust will in-i spect properties in the citv with a view to establishing bars. This was. decided on at the -.first meeting of the Trust to-night. The Trust also decided to call applications in the main centres for the position of secretary-manager, who is to be head of the executive staff in the meantime. The District Pubi c Trustee will act as secretary. It is understood that the salary of the sec-retary-manager will be an attractive one. The Trust will pay an annual fee of 140 for each of the premises in which liquor is sold.
