FOR .SERVICEMEN ON LEAVE.

P.A. WELLINGTON. May 1. An explanation .of leave ration cards which are being given to servicemen, was made bv the Rationing Controller. Mr. Thomas. to-night. For periods of leave up to two days, he said., leave ration card M, 13, brown in colour, is issued. This contains coupons entitling the holder to sixpence worth of coupon meat, three ounces of sugar, half an ounce of tea, and two ounces of butter. For periods of leave of seven r a vs, a blu» leave ration card, M. 14 is issued, which contains coupons entitling the holder to a full week’s ration nf meat (at present Is 9d worth), 12 ounces of sugar, and two ounces of tea and eight ounces of butter. Both types of cards are transferable, and their use is not confined to the period of the leave of the serviceman. .
