NEW ITALIAN CABINET
POLICY DECLARATION.
8.0.W. RUGBY, April 27. The new Italian Government met for the first time, to-day. under the Presidency of Marshal Badoglio to consider a declaration iof policy, writes a Naples correspondent. The meeting took place at the former prelecture. The Cabinet deliberated through the morning session on a lengthy declaration, which stressed above all the unity of all the six antiFascist Parlies forming the Government. It is understood the declaration promises electoral laws, and emphasises the need for social leglslat'on, though it pointed out the difficulty of carrying out the views in Italy, mainly occupied by the enemy. The appointment of a special purging committee and the improvement of economic and agricultural conditions are believed to be included in the statement. The deliberations had not concluded at the end of the morning session though there was general agreement on the substance of the declaration. An official communique is expected to be issued later to-night (Received April 28, at 11.10 p.m.) PHILADELPHIA. April 28. ; Marshal Badoglio, in a letter to the 1.L.0. conference, has applied for the re-admission of Italy as a member of the organisation.
