BRUNNER NOTES
[Our Own Correspondent!. < The residence of Mr. Ralf Rothera was destroyed bv fire at Taylorville in the early hours of Friday morning. The fire commenced at 4.40, and at five o’clock the building was burned out. Everything was lost. There was no insurance on the house or belongings. Willing workers made a great *■ effort, or otherwise the adjacent property would' have been destroyed. Miss A. Walton of Christchurch, Is visiting her mother, Mrs. L. Walton of Taylorville. Aircraftsman E. Smith has returned to camp after spending leave m the| district. Miss N. Barber of the W.A.A.C. Is at present home on leave.
