Mr. John Unwin, State Mines Department, Runanga, has been appointed manager of the Mining Enuipmet Department of the Dominion Construction Company, Wellington. He will take up his appointment •about Easter. Mr. Unwin, who is a member of the Grey Electric Power Board, was farewelled by members last evening, eulogistic reference being made to his services during the past nine years.
