WELLINGTON R.C. TO RACE. P.A. WELLINGTON, Feb. 24. The stewards of the Wellington Racing Club decided to-day to proceed with the Autumn Meeting scheduled for Trentham on Saturday March 11. A representative of the Railways Department waited on the meeting and expressed the regret of the Department that it was unable to provide any passenger train service for race day. The stewards, however, felt they had a duty to owners and trainers to carry on with the meeting,’though it is understood that their decision to do so was not unanimous.
