Regent Theatre

Now Showing; “Banana Ridge,'” starring Robertson Hare and Alfred Drayton. That most famous of all farces, “Banana Ridge”, by Ben Travers, author of numerous stage and film successes, is now showing at the Regent Theatre, with Robertson Hare and Robert Drayton in the stellar roles. The story tells of the misadventures of two business partners who years before had each an affair with an attractive woman. Now happily married the partners are more than surprised when one day the lady of their past turns up with a son whom she claims is the son of either of the two partners. The hilarity of the situations which follow can well be imagined, and each of the partners makes every effort to extract himself from the predicament each becomes more and more involved through his bungling schemes. Hare and Drayton are ably supported by Isabel Jeans, Nova Pilbeam, Adele Dixon, Patrick Kinsella and Valentine Dunn.
