LONDON, Dec. 22. The "Evening Standard's” Lisbon correspondent states: Nearly 1000 Germans and pro-Nazi officials in France have been assassinated in the last four months. It is reported that imminence of a second front increased the daring of saboteurs. Lawlessness is sweeping all districts of France, despite all efforts by the Germans, and the Vichy militia to check it.
