Adm’ral Halsey’s Prophecy
(Rec 12.10.) NEW--YORK. Dec. 23. Last New Year’s Day Vice Admiral Halsev predicted the complete and absolute defeat of the Axis Powers before the end of 1943. He was
reminded ot Ms forecast at his headquarters to-day. He said: I shall re fuse to gaze into the crystal ball anj more. We do not know 'how long me war will last. Only God knows.”
SOVIET CO-OPERATION.
LONDON, Dec. 23.
The British Associated Press Moscow correspondent says: The ieheran Conference eliminated a number of tenacious prejudices, which existed among certain British ana American circles. There was a belief that there existed insurmountable obstacles in the way ot the Soviet Union co-operating with other countries. .
