WOMAN GAOLED
BREACH OF MANPOWER REGULATIONS.
WELLINGTON, Dec. 14. The first woman in New Zelarid to be imprisoned for a breach of the Manpower Regulations is Dorothy Emily Lepper/;! known as Mrs. Bruce, who was given a two days’ term by. Mr. W. C. Harley, S.M., at Wellington, oh a charge of failing to comply with a direction of the Manpower Officer. She had been before the Court previously and had been warned, and the Magistrate said she must realise she could not defy the Manpower Officer.
