Clarke, W allsend. ‘ Kecentlyv, a meeting was held in the Dobson School to form a branch of the “Lady Galway Guild,” and the ladies of the village showed their willingness to help by turning up m force. Mrs. G. Mantn gave a very interesting talk explaining how a±i could help occupied countries. A committee and working bee was formed ahu iadies will be canvassing Taylorville, Wallsend and Dobson early in December. The public arc earnestly asked to assiST by ; giving old clothing .of any description and oy hav-ng gifts ready when the canvassers call.
It has been decided that the next two Dobson Monday night learners' dances will be h'eid for the Boy Scouts, who recently held a bottle drive in the district-' to raise funds for their Christmas Camp. it is hoped that the - dancers and learners of the district will be present at both.
