LABOUR MAJORITY OF 14. WELLINGTON, Dec. 2. The election of Mr. W. T. Anderton, the Labour candidate for the Eden seat by. a majority of 14 votes over Lieutenant-Colonel W. H. Fortune, the Nationalist candidate, is established by tne final figures announced by the chief electorial officer Mr. L. Irwin. Details of the voting are:— Civilian. Service. Total Anderton 6494 772 72b6 Fortune 6766 486 7202 Other candidates’ totals are:—T. M. Nixon (D.L.), 730: Mrs. G. Brooks (R.D.M.), 301; D. H. C. W-ilson (F.M.) 201.
