Mr. A. H. O’Keefe, President of the NeAv Zealand Public Service Association. left Hokitika for Wellington hy air yesterday morning.
A message from Apia, Samoa, states that the death occurred cn Monday of Mr Fred H. McFella. A native of British Columbia, aged 70 years, he was for 12 years employed by the Burns Philp Coy. as labour foreman, and latterly he had a small cocoa and banana plantation. He is survived by his widow and nine of a family.—P.A.
The death of Mr. Henry Cotterill, a well-known figure in the legal pro fession. is announced in a Press Association message from Christchurch. He was aged 88. Mr. Cotterill was born at Lyttelton and educated at Christ’s College. He became a barrister and solicitor in 1878, ' and was associate to Sir joshua Williams, the well-known judge. Latterly ne was a member ot the firm of Duncan, Cotterill. and Co.
