NEW POLISH CABINET
LONDON APPROVAL.
(Rec. 12.35.) LONDON, July 15. M. Mihqlajczyk has formed a new Polish Cabinet, with M. Jan Kwapinski as deputy-Prime Minister. The new Cabinet is described in London as thoroughly democratic. It comprises three members of the Peasant Party, three Socialists, two Labourites, two Nationalists, and three nonparty members. _ Reuter’s • diplomatic correspondent stated: Polish official quarters state the appointment of M. T'adeusz Romer, formerly Ambassador to Noscow, as Minister of Foreign Affairs, indicates the new Government will do its utmost to seek a friendly settlement of the Russo-Polish relations in conformity with the preservation of Polish interests. M. Romer succeeds Count Raczynski, who remains Polish Ambassador in London, a position wherein he is able to render valuable service as liaison officer. Doctor Ludwik Grosfeld, a Jewish Socialist, is the new Finance Minister, which speaks for the liberal basis whereon the Cabinet is formed. Another feature is the appointment of Henryk Strassburger as Minister to the Middle East Legion, which is specially important to the Poles, because of the presence of the Polish Army there, also the communities of Polish refugees in Persia, Iraq, Palestine, Africa and India. The only newcomers to the Cabinet in addition to M. Romer and M. Grosfeld are Father Zygmunt Kaczynski, Minister of Education, and M. Wiadyslaw B.anaczyk, Minister of Home Affairs.
